Exit & Emergency Lighting

Emergency & Exit lighting systems are an Essential Safety Measure and must be maintained in an operational condition to which they were intended. To verify the performance of each fitting or system lights are required to inspected and tested periodically (6-monthly) by carrying out a specific maintenance and test regime.

The following Codes and Australian Standards apply to the installation and maintenance of emergency and exit lighting systems:

  • AS2293.1-1995 Emergency evacuation and lighting in buildings. System design, installation and operation.
  • AS2293.2, 1995 Emergency evacuation and lighting in buildings. Inspection and maintenance.
  • AS2293.3, 1995 Emergency evacuation and lighting in buildings. Emergency luminaries and exit signs.
  • Building Code of Australia, (as amended to date). Class 2 to Class 9 Buildings, Section E.

Ryan Wilks can design, procure and install an Emergency & Exit lighting system to meet most client’s needs.
