Challenging Major Works Project – Fire Compliance Upgrade
Ryan Wilks recently completed a highly complex and technically demanding fire compliance upgrade on a prominent major city site, showcasing the team’s depth of expertise and commitment to excellence.
This project involved significant upgrades and installations across multiple systems and disciplines, including:
- Replacement and installation of new fire services, including:
- 9x Smoke Management Fans
- 29x Motorised Relief Air Fire Dampers and associated wiring
- 2x New Stair Fan Control Systems
- Comprehensive commissioning and testing of the fire matrix and stair systems
- Complete upgrade and replacement of the existing site EWIS systems
- Major upgrades to both the dry and wet fire systems
- Replacement of the Main FIP & EWIS Panel, and installation of 9x supplementary floor sub-panels
- Reprogramming of the fire matrix and override switch systems
- Decommissioning and removal of the existing Inergen Gas Suppression System across four floors
- Installation of:
- 4x new Essential Services MCCs & ATSs
- New essential services submains rising 16 floors
- 5x new essential Mechanical Services Switchboards
- BMS system upgrade
- Replacement of 40% of fire dampers
- New carpark exhaust (jet) fan installation
- Major builder’s works: demolition and refurbishment across all levels
- Complete knockdown and rebuild of the site’s main air conditioning unit
