UPS Replacement Project – Telecommunications Facility

Ryan Wilks was engaged by a major telecommunications provider to replace end-of-life (EOL) Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems with two free-issued 250kVA Frame APM Vertiv UPS units. Each unit was configured with 100kVA power modules, delivering a total capacity of 200kVA per UPS. This critical upgrade was implemented to improve operational efficiency, enhance system reliability, and ensure the infrastructure meets current and future power demands.

The works were carried out in a highly controlled and coordinated manner to minimise disruption to building occupants. All activities adhered to the site’s stringent management protocols, with full operational continuity maintained throughout the project. No disruptions were experienced by the facility or its stakeholders at any time.

Given the sensitive nature of the site, strict compliance with the provider’s access controls and Work Health & Safety (WHS) requirements was enforced. All contractors and personnel involved met the rigorous access and safety standards.

The project was completed on time, within scope, and to the full satisfaction of the client, with zero impact to ongoing facility operations.
