New England Schools Switchboards RCD Upgrades

In April  2015, Ryan Wilks were awarded DEC RCD Works Package by NSW Public Works. The works were carried out at 12 x Schools throughout the New England Region of NSW.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

The scope works were as follows:

• the installation of new local Distribution Boards as nominated
• the installation of 1 single phase RCDs to replace CBs in existing DBs as nominated
• the installation of polyphase RCD switches to protect 2 & 3 phase subcircuits in existing as nominated. The RCDs were mounted in separate enclosures adjacent to the DBs
• The engaging of the nominated subcontractor, Appliance Tagging Services to audit all switchboards, either replaced or modified as part of the scope of works.

The full details of the works completed at each school are as follows:

Armidale High School

• Supply and installation of new DB-1 Block A,DB-2 Block A.DB-A2 Block A,DB-F1 Block F and MSB Modifications including the installation of the new 48 pole distribution chassis, 160A fuse disconnector and new escutcheon.
• Supply and installation of 1 pole RCDs in DBD1,DB,DB2,DB3,DBA & DB Indoor Sports Complex.
• Supply and installation of 3 pole RCD Switches for DBA3 & DBA1.

Ashford Central School

• Supply and installation of 1 pole RCDs in EDB 2A.
• Supply and installation of 3 pole RCD Switches for DB 2A, DB4 Normal rate, DB 8A & DB H.

Bundarra Central School

• Supply and installation of new DB-L Block L.
• Supply and installation of 1 pole RCDs in EDB A & EDB D11031.
• Supply and installation of 3 pole RCD Switches for EDB A, DB 1A &  EDB D11031.

Duval High School

• MSB Modifications including the installation of the new 36 pole distribution chassis, 160A fuse disconnector and new escutcheon.
• Supply and installation of 1 pole RCDs in Switch 1, Switch 6, Switch 8, Switch 10,DB 11 & DB 12B.
• Supply and installation of 3 pole RCD Switches for Switch 2, Switch 10,DB 13 & DB 12B.

Emmaville Central School

• Supply and installation of new DB-D10978.

Glen Innes High School

• Supply and installation of 1 pole RCDs in DB A, DB 3, DB A1 & DB 2.
• Supply and installation of 3 pole RCD Switches for EDB A1, DB K, MSB &  DB H1.

Guyra High School

• Supply and installation of new DB-D Block D, DB-H Block H & MSB-J Block J.
• Supply and installation of 1 pole RCDs in EDB 1 & EDB 2.
• Supply and installation of 3 pole RCD Switches for MSB, DBH1 & EDB 2.

Inverell High School

• Supply and installation of new DB-4A Block I, DB-4B Block I, DB-5 Block A, DB-17 Block E, DB-D10719, DB-D10720, DB-D10793, DB-D15272, DB-D15846-A, DB-D15846-B, DB-D15846-C, DB-D15846-D,DB-Library-A & DB-Library-B.
• Supply and installation of 1 pole RCDs in DB 3A, DB AG & DB 4B.
• Supply and installation of 3 pole RCD Switches for EDB 9.

Macintyre High School

• Supply and installation of new DB-18 Block K.
• Supply and installation of 1 pole RCDs in EDB 12.
• Supply and installation of 3 pole RCD Switches for EDB 8, EDB 7 & EDB MSB Light & Power.

Tenterfield High School

• Supply and installation of 1 pole RCDs in EDB A, DB 5, DB 1, & EDB B1.
• Supply and installation of 3 pole RCD Switches for EDB B1 & DB MPC.

Uralla High School

• Supply and installation of new DB-B1 Block B,DB-C1 Block C, DB-E1 Block E, DB-J1 Block J, DB-K1 Block K, DB-N Block N,DB-D14099 & DB-D14534.
• MSB Modifications including the installation of the new 48 pole distribution chassis, 160A fuse disconnector and new escutcheon.
• Supply and installation of 1 pole RCDs in EDB 1.

Walcha Central School

• Supply and installation of new DB-3 Block F.
• Supply and installation of 1 pole RCDs in EDB-C, DB 2 & Distribution Board M.
• Supply and installation of 3 pole RCD Switches for DB 2, Distribution Board M, DB Hospitality 4 & DB Q.

The Project was completed in November 2015.
