Ryan Wilks Powering up Regional NBN Rollout
As part of the regional NBN roll out works Ryan Wilks has completed the installation of a back up generator at the Mittagong Telephone Exchange to provide vital infrastructure for the local area NBN rollout. The works involved the installation of a containerised generator which was installed external of the main building and the installation of a new main distribution board with automatic transfer capabilities. The installation of the new main distribution board, new generator cabling and cutting over of existing supplies to the new board was carried out by Ryan Wilks and included a week long night shift to cut over all existing power supplies on the site to the new distribution board and back up power supply. The works were carried out at night to minimise the impact of the works on the day to day operations of the facility. Ryan Wilks designed the new slab and security fencing which judging by the finished product worked out well for everyone.
